Intro

Beam-Kupplungen

Die Beam Kupplung wird auch als flexible Kupplung, elastische Kupplung, Ausgleichskupplung und Wendelkupplung bezeichnet. Die verdrehsteife und spielfreie elastische Kupplung ist in den Außendurchmessern von 10 bis 38 mm sind erhältlich.

Flexible Kupplungen aller drei Baureihen P, F und MW sind aus einem Stück gefertigt und weisen zwei Sätze von spiralförmigen Einschnitten auf. Diese charakteristische Konstruktion ermöglicht der Ausgleichkupplung eine hohe Torsionssteife bei gleichzeitig effektiver Verminderung von Aufwickeleffekten.

Die elastische Kupplung der Serien P, MW und F verfügt über jeweils zwei Sätze von spiralförmigen Einschnitten. Durch diese spezielle Konstruktion hat sie eine höhere radiale Verlagerungskapazität im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen Ausgleichskupplungen. Winkelverlagerungen, axiale Verschiebungen oder Kombinationen aus allen drei Verlagerungsarten werden somit wirkungsvoll durch die flexible Kupplung ausgeglichen. Zusätzlich sind klemmbare Ausgleichskupplungen konstruktionsbedingt dynamisch ausgewuchtet.

Die flexible Kupplung findet überall dort Anwendung, wo die zwei verbundenen Wellen nicht flüchtig sind. Ausgleichskupplungen der Serie F sind ideal für Anwendungen, in denen geringere Kräfte zu übertragen sind, zum Beispiel als Verbindung zwischen hochdynamischen Servomotoren und Positioniersystemen. Durch ihre Baugrößen und starken Einschnitte weist die elastische Kupplung trotz ausgezeichnetem Verlagerungsausgleich eine hohe Drehmomentkapazität und sehr niedrige Aufwickeleffekte auf. Gerade bei diesen häufig im Reversierbetrieb laufenden Servosystemen, in denen die wiederholbare Positioniergenauigkeit eine wichtige Rolle spielt, kommen die Vorteile der flexible Kupplung der Firma Ruland, wie Drehsteifigkeit und Drehspielfreiheit, zum Tragen.

Die flexible Kupplung der Serien P und MW wird speziell für Präzisionsanwendungen mit filigranen Komponenten wie etwa Encoder und Drehzahlmesser entwickelt. Hohe radiale Seitenkräfte würden die kleinen Lager dieser Bauteile in ihrer Leistung und Lebensdauer beeinträchtigen. Die in Standardlängen erhältliche elastische Kupplung kann dank ihrer kompakten Bauweise auch in engen Räumen eingesetzt werden und eignen sich bestens als Ersatzbauteile in bestehenden Anlagen. Dennoch verfügen Ausgleichskupplungen über eine hervorragende Drehmomentleistung und einen niedrigen Aufwickeleffekt.

Avoiding Coupling Failure: Considerations in Design Selection

Mechanical couplings have a principal use in the connection of rotating shafts for the transfer of rotary motion and torque. As with all mechanical devices, a coupling must match its’ intended purpose and application parameters, including many different performance, environmental, use and service factors. All must be satisfied for the coupling to work properly.
